2005 年 2 月 28 日，在意大利 Nardò 环形试车场，Loris Bicocchi 驾驶 CCR 跑出 387.87 km/h，打破了 McLaren F1 保持 12 年的 386.4 km/h 纪录。值得注意的是 Nardò 是一个环形赛道，车辆需要持续转向，实际直线极速应更高 —— 但这也是当时唯一可用的场地。这个纪录仅保持了一年多，就被 Veyron 打破。
