2014 年 2 月 14 日，Venom GT 在 NASA 肯尼迪航天中心的航天飞机跑道上跑出单向 435.31 km/h。
它没有被认定为量产车极速纪录，原因有两个：
- 只跑了单向（跑道长度不够做双向）
- 产量只有 13 台，低于吉尼斯要求的 30 台最低产量门槛
它的构造本身很有意思：底盘是买来的 Lotus Exige 铝合金粘接底盘（加长了轴距），装上通用的 LS7 7.0L 自吸 V8 再加两个 Precision 涡轮，配 Ricardo 的 6 速手动。这是典型的美式做法 —— 用现成的、便宜的、大排量的基础，靠涡轮堆出极端数字。
功率重量比 1.0 kg/PS，与 Koenigsegg One:1 同级，但成本低了一个数量级。
