P72 是一次刻意的复古：车身致敬 1965 年的 De Tomaso P70（Alejandro de Tomaso 与 Carroll Shelby 合作的原型赛车），内饰用铜色金属、机械表式仪表和外露的换挡连杆。
它的底盘却是完全现代的 —— 碳纤维单体壳源自 Apollo Intensa Emozione（同一家工程公司 HWA 参与），推杆式悬挂。
发动机用福特 Coyote 5.0 V8 加 Roush 机械增压 —— 这是延续 Pantera 的传统（意大利车身 + 美国 V8）。选机械增压而不是涡轮是为了保留线性响应和一个"老派"的动力特性。
只有 6 速手动（序列式是选装）。这在一台 2024 年发布的 700 马力中置超跑上极其罕见。
