SSC 的 Ultimate Aero TT 在 2007 年以 412.28 km/h 打破 Veyron 的纪录,保持到 2010 年被 Veyron Super Sport 夺回。

Tuatara 的极速纪录争议是近年汽车圈最著名的事件之一:

Cd 0.279 对一台超跑来说极低(对比 Bugatti Chiron 约 0.36)。这是 Tuatara 车身设计的核心目标 —— 它的造型完全服务于低阻力,尾部收得非常窄。

发动机是 SSC 与 Nelson Racing Engines 合作的 5.9L 平面曲轴双涡轮 V8,8800 rpm。烧 E85 时 1774 马力,烧汽油只有 1370(原理见 Koenigsegg CCXR)。
