CT5-V Blackwing 是一个正在消失的物种：668 马力、后驱、四门、六速手动。
MagneRide 4.0 磁流变减震器是它的底盘核心。原理：减震器油液中悬浮着微米级的铁磁颗粒。线圈通电产生磁场时，这些颗粒沿磁力线排列成链状结构，油液的表观粘度在毫秒级内急剧上升，从而改变阻尼。
与传统电磁阀式可调减震的区别：
- 阀式：靠电机或电磁阀改变节流孔面积，机械机构有惯量，响应时间约 30–100 ms
- 磁流变：没有任何机械运动部件，只有磁场变化，响应时间约 10 ms，且阻尼变化是连续的
对一台 1878 kg 的后驱车来说，这个响应速度让它能在颠簸的公路上保持车轮贴地，同时在赛道上提供足够的车身控制。
手动挡的自动补油可以关闭 —— 这是一个很小但很说明问题的细节：凯迪拉克明确知道买这台车的人里有一部分想自己跟趾。
